Creating a superb family home

 A key project in 2004 saw Cook & Lakin undertake the demolition of a 1960s bungalow in Ambleside. The outdated building was replaced by a two-storey property, sympathetically and aesthetically designed and faced in local stone.

Internally, the building was finished and fitted out to premium standards

Mrs Lakin said "I always new Les and Billy took a great pride in every project they take on, and now I'm living in the proof. The exterior looks very traditional and fits perfectly in its surroundings, but the interior is absolutely bang up to date. "
